Trying to understand copyright laws and the opportunities for fair use of copyrighted materials can be very daunting.  This workshop will help participants understand what copyright is and what it protects and how to work within the law to deliver copyright-protected resources to students.  In this workshop you will learn how to answer:

• Does it have a copyright?
• Is there a specific exception or exemption in copyright law that permits lawful use?
• Is there a license that specifies lawful use?
• How can I ask permission?
