Gilliam, Jr. College of Liberal Arts, and the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGST) Program proudly announce the inaugural one-day WGST Graduate Symposium (WGST-GS). This symposium will take place at The National Treasure, Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, on April 4, 2024, from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Note Change of Date)
We invite scholars and researchers to submit papers and panel proposals that delve into the profound intersections of Baldwin's life, writings, and sociopolitical views with a particular focus on issues related to women, gender, and activism. Our symposium welcomes diverse and interdisciplinary explorations across various academic disciplines, cultural expressions, and creative and other academic writings.
