#blackhistorymonthThe Fannie Lou Hamer Story gives the Morgan State University community an opportunity to see history come alive! Internationally acclaimed singer and actress, Mzuri Moyo Aimbaye, embodies Fannie as she takes the audience back to 1964 via a one-woman, multi-media play that blends storytelling, music and song. This one-woman play chronicles the visceral struggle for full civil rights and human dignity in America.
In this critical election year, presenting the Fannie Lou Hamer Story and the experience of seeing her story brought to life should motivate all American citizens to avoid further erosion of our hard-fought democratic processes.
The special presentation is the final Black History Month Convocation. It is open to the entire MSU community.
