  way of “HBCU Week.” HBCU Week offers films about the under-told stori
 es of sacrifice\, courage\, innovation\, and hope found in the archives of
  these important American institutions. To kick-off the HBCU Week program 
 content is the “The Calvin Tyler Story” (1 hr.).\n\nThe Calvin Tyler S
 tory tells the remarkable account of Baltimore native and former Morgan St
 ate University student Calvin Tyler\, who rose from being a UPS delivery t
 ruck driver to become one of the company’s highest-ranking executives an
 d largest shareholders and whose $20 million gift to Morgan was the larges
 t gift ever made to an HBCU by a former student. The documentary debuts on
  Maryland Public Television as part of its HBCU Week celebration. It was c
 reated as the first film offering from School of Global Journalism and Com
 munication’s Center for New Media and Strategic Initiatives.
