Faculty from the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences and the School of Social Work have organized a textiles makerspace to kick off Mental Health Awareness Month for the month of May. Students will have the opportunity to participate in various crafting activities involving textiles and materials and explore the mental health benefits associated with doing so. The event will take place May 1st - May 3rd from 11am to 3pm daily on the 2nd floor of Richardson Library in the Makerspace. All materials and textiles to create personal and individualized projects will be provided. This experiential learning activity is supported by the J.P. Morgan Second-Year Experience initiative.
