Stablecoins 101- an Online Workshop

This beginner-friendly session will explore stablecoins, a category of cryptocurrencies designed to maintain a stable value by being pegged to real-world assets. The discussion will cover:

• The fundamentals of stablecoins and how they differ from other digital assets.

• Their role in financial inclusion, cross-border transactions, and economic empowerment for underserved communities.

• An introduction to Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin and its applications.

Faculty, students, administrators, and staff interested in FinTech, cryptocurrencies, and economic innovation are encouraged to attend. The workshop will also provide valuable insights for those guiding students in these emerging fields.
