About this Event
This event is presented in partnership by Morgan State University’s Center for Brain Health Research and the Center for Urban Health Research Disparities and Innovation’s Morgan CARES Program, as well as the Johns Hopkins Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and ResearchCenter for Minority Aging Research
As part of an ongoing seminar series on brain health and memory loss, this seminar will focus on men’s brain health specifically, and self-care for caregivers. This virtual event brings together researchers and caregivers to talk honestly about men’s brain health
Speakers include:
Dr. Roland Thorpe, from Johns Hopkins, will moderate the session, introduce the importance of brain health, and will highlight the underrepresentation of men (including Black men) in health conversations
Dr. Anthony Briggs, from NYU, will discuss men’s brain health, with a focus on cognitive health and the importance of sleep
Mr. Christopher Barnes will then provide insight from a caregiver perspective
Attendees will have the chance to engage with speakers and ask questions about the presentations, and share their perspectives or experiences
