About this Event
View mapAs a part of Morgan's long-standing commitment to expanding critical thinking and the intellectual curiosity of its student population while fostering meaningful discourse throughout campus, the Presidential Distinguished Speaker Series represents one of many platforms where relevant exchange and topical conversations are fostered at the National Treasure.
For the next Presidential Distinguished Speaker Series event, Morgan welcomes Richard V. Reeves, the founding president of the American Institute for Boys and Men, the first and only national organization dedicated to objective, nonpartisan research and policy development aimed at enhancing the well-being of boys and men. He also authored the 2022 book, “Of Boys and Men: Why the Modern Male Is Struggling, Why It Matters, and What to Do About It.” He will be speaking on the topic of: The Silent Crisis of America’s Boys and Men.
Morgan State’s own Professor MK Asante, a best-selling author, award-winning filmmaker, recording artist, and distinguished professor whom the Los Angeles Times has called “one of America’s best storytellers,” will also speak. His discussion topic will be Male College Retention—Experiences and Lessons Learned.
