Come Celebrate Black Entrepreneurship 

Please join us on Wednesday, April 19th, 2023 from 12 - 3 PM EST in the heart of the Morgan State University campus - on the plaza by the Library and Student Center - to celebrate Black innovation and entrepreneurship. Enjoy an afternoon filled with a keynote panel, BearTalks, food, drinks, shopping, and announcements about upcoming events. The program includes: 

A Keynote Panel: The Power of Black Entrepreneurship & HBCUs Includes announcements about the partnership between PNC, Howard University, and Morgan State University. The goal of the partnership is to address disparities in business ownership rates and entrepreneurial success among people of color through research and expanded awareness and access to entrepreneurship education, experiences, and opportunities.

BearTalks  (hosted by Morgan's University Innovation Fellows)

Black Leaders in the Fashion Industry, 12:00 - 1:00 PM 

Meet fashion-industry leaders from the Baltimore area who are paving the way for future black entrepreneurs. Enjoy an informative discussion on how Black entrepreneurs are navigating the fashion industry and creating their own brands. 

Using Artificial Intelligence to Create/Make, 1:00 - 2:00 PM 

Marcus Finley, CEO at FIN Digital and co-founder of 6DGRS will lead this hands-on workshop where you will learn how to use Artificial Intelligence (AI)- generated content and harness its power to boost your marketing efforts, generate revenue, and promote your business. In today's fast-paced and competitive business environment, leveraging innovative technology to stay ahead of the curve is crucial. In this workshop, you will learn how to: create, optimize, customize, monetize, promote, and evaluate AI-generated content. 

Startup Essentials, 2:00-3:00 PM 

Jáe Pesante, Business Strategist and Tech-Founder of Spotlist Inc. and CEO of Fashion Entertainment Media will share essential advice for anyone thinking about starting a business. Learn from a professional with over 12 years of experience developing and improving talent, businesses, and brands within music, media, entertainment, fashion, sports, and lifestyle industries.
