The Morgan State athletics department will hold its second annual Morgan State University Education Day, "Building Bridges – Pathways to Education," with the women's basketball program when the Lady Bears welcome Washington Adventist to Hill Field House on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 11 a.m.
 
More than 600 youth attended last year's inaugural event. This year Morgan State athletics has partnered with the School of Education to invite 10-12 schools. Already, over 1,500 third, fourth, and fifth graders from the Baltimore Community are anticipated to attend.
 
Morgan State mascot, Benny the Bear, will greet students and give them a brief history of The National Treasure. Student-athletes and Early Education majors will also teach them the Bear Chant and Bear Dance. The event is supported by McDonald's Family Restaurants of Washington, D.C., Greater Baltimore, and Eastern Shore.
