Please join us for a conversation on understanding the content of federal notices of award (NoA), the official legal documents indicating the issuance of awards. Proper understanding of the notice of award is essential to ensure that the investigator and the university are in compliance with federal regulations.
Did you know that per Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), each federal notice of award needs to include at least 16 items? They include information such as:
· Allowable and unallowable costs;
· Technical reporting requirements;
· Financial reporting requirements;
· Total budget, period of performance, and much more.
This presentation discusses the required elements included in NoAs, and provides examples of how to read and interpret NIH and NASA notices of award, as well as what information NIH award numbers offer.
