Institutional Collaboration as a Pathway to Student Success: The HBCU Student Success Project
Description:
Dillard University, Howard University, and Morgan State University embarked upon a three-year HBCU Student Success project to implement promising institutional policies and practices in order to increase attainment for all students and reduce attainment gaps.
The webinar will highlight how the HBCU Student Success Project institutions optimized advising and academic support services through the campus-wide adoption of a predictive analytics platform and the development of Second-Year Experience (SYE) programs that focus on implementing academic support programs for targeted populations (Pell-Grant recipients, students enrolled in developmental courses, and other success-vulnerable populations based on institutional data and priorities)
Additional insights gained will be presented on how the Project implemented institution-specific interventions across critical areas including academic prioritization and program delivery, academic support services, as well as faculty and staff training. Funded by Lumina Foundation.
