About this Event
New transportation technologies are changing what's possible in our cities. Mountains of travel data are generated every day; robust sensors grant personal vehicles more autonomy on the road; and new communications systems instantly share information between drivers, vehicles, and the surrounding infrastructure. How do we stitch together all of these disparate technologies to build a transportation network that is more fair and environmentally conscious?
Dr. Mansoureh Jeihani is the director of the SMARTER Center and the National Transportation Center. Her vast corpus of work is centered on deploying new technologies to make urban roads more safe, equitable, and sustainable. In this session of SMARTER Transportation Talks, we sit down with Dr. Jeihani to discuss her recent experiments with connected vehicle systems at Morgan State University as well as the challenges and opportunities of scaling these technologies across entire urban centers.
Register now and join us for a thoughtful discussion on the role of transportation in the SMART cities of tomorrow. Q&A session to follow.
