About this Event
In the last GradTEACH workshop of the Fall 2024 semester, Dr. Virginia Byrne, Associate Professor, and Adeoluwa Folami, Morgan State University doctoral student and Research Assistant will share a research-based model of Trauma-Informed Teaching in undergraduate courses that leverage technology for learning. They will present an in-progress study funded by the US Department of Education in which they explore how these practices relate to the learning experience and academic outcomes of undergraduate students here at Morgan State. With participants, they will talk through specific teaching and course design strategies that research (and our Morgan students) find most supportive and useful. Participants will leave with new pedagogical knowledge and practice tips to apply to their courses in the current semester.
