Morgan State University’s annual Founders Day Convocation stands as a tribute to the University’s distinguished founding in 1867 and its remarkable evolution through the decades, providing the Morgan community a moment to reflect upon and celebrate the legacy, traditions, and pivotal milestones that have shaped its 158-year history.


Join Morgan State University President David K. Wilson and the Morgan Community in tribute to the National Treasure's founding for the 2025 Founders Day Convocation, featuring keynote speaker and Morgan State alumnus, the Honorable Dr. Calvin B. Ball III (Class of 2008), who is the County Executive of Howard County, Maryland. A regional, national and global leader who champions economic development, education and fiscal responsibility, Dr. Ball is the first African American to be elected to the honored position of County Executive of Howard County.
