The directive to the speakers was simple –– How might humankind learn from the past in order to protect and restore our natural resources for future generations? Fast forward nearly 40 years \, Estuary Urbanism has a similar intention –– inviting scientists\, humani sts\, designers\, managers\, and engaged citizens –– to share long-term per spectives and valuable lessons motivated by natural events\, human activiti es\, and climate change. Although the discussion will be focused on the Che sapeake\, we hope the insights gained will be applicable to estuaries acros s North America and the world and the communities that dwell within them. T he symposium will conclude with a narrated boat tour within the greater Por t of Baltimore\, highlighting the privately and publicly owned marine termi nals comprising it\, how these facilities operate\, and the depth of their importance to the local\, state\, regional\, and national economies.\n\nASL A LACES approved (full symposium 7 PDH|HSW\, morning or afternoon only 2.5 PDH|HSW\, boat tour 2 PDH|HSW).\n\n4 AICP CM credits approved. \n\nRegister for the FULL symposium or MORNING (AM) or AFTERNOON (PM) sessions.
