Conceptualizing, Understanding, and Intervening for Justice: A Forum on Violence – A Call for Papers

At the behest of Dr. David Wilson, we are proud to announce the first of many conferences to address the issue of violence in our communities. We are seeking proposals from MSU faculty, researchers, and practitioners who are interested in: helping us to broaden our understanding of violence, exploring intervention strategies designed to reduce violence, and developing policies to impact violence at a systematic level. The proposals can be of existing research, future plans, and are encouraged to have a multi-disciplinary approach. Each proposal will be considered for both the Spring Forum (April 4, 2020) and the National Conference to be held in the Fall of 2020.

Proposals Will Be:

  • Reviewed and Scored by an Interdisciplinary Committee
  • Selected for either the Spring, Fall or Both events
  • Considered for Publication in the inaugural edition of a forthcoming research journal
