About this Event
1700 E. Cold Spring Lane, Baltimore, MD 21251
Morgan President David K. Wilson will host a special University-wide “Budget Rightsizing Town Hall” to engage the campus community in an important conversation about the institution’s financial future.
Earlier this year, President Wilson informed the Morgan community that the University must undergo a budget rightsizing process to address a required reduction of at least $12 million, due to statewide budget cuts issued by the State of Maryland impacting all state agencies, including Morgan.
To help guide this process, President Wilson appointed the Administrative and Program Reduction Committee (APRC) to operate transparently and inclusively. The APRC has since developed a set of recommendations for implementing the necessary budget reductions, which are currently under review by the President.
This upcoming town hall will provide a vital opportunity to share updates on the process, discuss next steps, and ensure the community remains informed and engaged as the University navigates these fiscal adjustments.
