HBCU faculty, staff, undergraduate and graduate students, and their community-based partners present their work in classrooms, city neighborhoods, suburban townships, coastal communities, and rural places whose aim is to reduce environmental exposures of harmful cause and consequence to marginalized and vulnerable people. The Summit showcases receptions, papers, panel discussions, and posters highlighting research, teaching, and service in the humanities, behavioral and social science, and STEM fields meant to alleviate stressors like water and air pollution, poor infrastructure, energy inefficiencies and more across the U.S. Mid-Atlantic region and beyond.
